I read on FB some people implying this guy is a serial crook and has done this same thing in previous businesses repeatedly. Not sure if that was true, but it definitely sucks. I don't think that amount of money would hurt mr J Mayer though

I don't understand why a guy with his money wouldn't just hold on to the Dumble forever.

He may be trying to be nice. He's now got this locked in contract with PRS to play his amps too, and may figure "someone deserves to use this amp since I'm not"....
but not sure really, it does seem weird.

Or why he wouldn't just sell it himself. I know he's busy, but he has employees. It wouldn't take much to write a short letter and have one of your minions list it on reverb and ebay.
It was strange when I saw him live. He played a few of his signature strats. And I saw, and snapped a pic, of a hidden Steel String singer.. But he often played a strat body with a PRS neck. it was weird. It's too bad his relationship with Fender Musical Instruments has broken down.
