Interesting use of metal films in most places? I think they look like NTE?

NTE flameproof 1/2w and Roederstein MK3. Interesting that he mixed a Draloric LCA 414 with an NTE on the PI plates. I don't think I've seen that before.

Also looks like the eyelets are much bigger than his other amps?

The great news about these gutshots leaking, for the Mayer fans at least, is that #221 is within 1-3 serial numbers of the famous "Where The Light Is" Dumble, which according the Bomba is either #222 or #224. How about a ToneGeek Mayer WTLI ODS build to add to your growing list of projects?

I think this is 223
IMO..The later 5th generation amps are versatile and can be tweaked more to your personal taste however, not what I would consider the "Classic" Dumble sound like those from the earlier (more challenging) built 4th and 2nd generational model amps.

It’s definitely #221. I thought they were the same amp but there is a few differences that I can see between them:
Master Volume bright capacitor
PI resistors (plate and tail)
Presence capacitor
Dropping string resistors in power supply
For some reason i couldn’t original attach a picture of the serial number, had to screen shot it and attach separately.

I was not questioning if the one you posted was 221
I was sayin that the one I posted was " I think" 223 and yes they are 2 different amps. Sorry for the confusion..

The switch has more contacts than necessary so they have been paralleled.

I have seen this on Reverb for $175k at Play It Again Music in Dayton Ohio.
Be careful. This was a retail store owned by Allan Mance whose dealings have been questionable.
If it is a genuine Dumble, I know of only one in Dayton and that belongs to Ira Stanley of Dixie Peach.
This may be that amp. the cosmetics, tube configuration, and serial number are all around the correct era.

Caveat Emptor.
