So I’ve listened to ask many 102,124, and 183 clips as I could and come back wanting to build a 124. I figured I’m starting from scratch so I’d do a new thread to ask questions. So far at this point I’ve only come up with 3.
1. I want to do a 1x12 combo. Should I do a 50w or just stick with 100w? If 50w, what components change to make that happen?
2. Using the amp nation boards, do you just go with the layout with all the b+ coming from that board? I know it differs from the 124 layout.
3. Is the 220/220 replacement for 300/300 the way to go? Or just what people choose because of parts availability.
4. Is there an off the shelf PT/OT that is highly recommended. It seems everyone says fender twin replacements but that’s a wide variety of options.

Re: New 124 build thread
1. I have only built 100w myself, cannot give you a comparison. If you build a 100w combo your speaker options will be more limited, however IMHO EVM12L (200w) works well with #124.
2. AN boards work well with ODS, more holes can be added for Precision Power Supply where needed.
3. I used Radial 330/330 on my #124. They can be used on AN board with no modifications.
4. I used Mojotone (Heyboer) 100w Fender transformers with good results. If they are out of stock be patient, they will restock.
