after completion of my two Overdrive Special clone amps I am now setting forth with the construction of the SSS#002 clone.

I need to get some face plates made for this amplifier, does anyone know how to get the right fonts in AutoCad?

I have both eyelets and PCBs, im going to populate both and decided which way around ill make the amps, ie: which to retrofit into the fender twin and which to use for the scratch build.

I’m not sure how to import them, but I think Ryan has the fonts on his GitHub:

I never used autocad, Fusion360 is what I used.
When import artwork, first thing was to export the outline of the frontplate of the Sss to pdf or dxf. Then import to Inkscape. This way you have the correct dimensions to put your artwork in, Inscape also support all imported fonts needed.
When finished export the artwork to import it in autocad to verify. I'm not sure if you need seperate metal faceplates or something else like silkscreen. Both have a different route in fabrication.

Thanks Erwin,

I have used Fusion before at work, but I dont have unfettered access for this. I might just make one from scratch but the text im finding hard to match the fonts.

Probably a problem for another day! ill post when I get back up and running

Fusion 360 has a free license for hobbiests, just limited on number of jobs that can be saved. I let mine lapse (requires annual free renual). Last time I looked it was a bit difficult to find, but it was there.

What I'm saying was that you only need the dxf outline of your frontplate(export in Autocad) and do the artwork including the fonts in Inkscape. No need for Fusion360.
Afaik the front and backplate pdf is also available in the github repositories Ryan Colgan posted.

Muchas Gracias!

I need to get to test the output transformer as I suspect it only has a 4ohm secondary. I need 4.8 and 16ohm!

Will work it out when I finally get a free day.
