Post by Ed de Jager »

Hi,as i understand(don`t remember where i red it)there are different G12-65`s..
I can buy one at the moment but like to be sure i will buy a right one.

Sorry Ed, can't help you there but thanks for bringing up the point. I'm just about to buy a G12-65 and was unaware that there was an issue.

Cheers, Paul.

I'm pretty sure that there is only one G1265 and it is the heritage model. If you look on the Celestion website and compare that one to the e-stores offers you can check it out.

Now there are always the older G1265s that were discontinued. I'm not sure what they look like.

Ed, did you check out this thread:

Maybe some of the pre heritage reissues are out there on the second hand market?

I've been using Heritage and originals. Both sound excellent.

There are other manufactures like Scumbacks and Austin Speaker Works.

Has anyone tried these speakers or compared them at all?
