Why Dumble cleans?

Re: Why Dumble cleans?
For me, it has all the nice qualities of the Fender cleans, without all the mids sucked out, and without a slow/sloppy bass. Much more 'fast' and tight amp, like a Hiwatt. Lot's of flexibility with the D style cleans, IMO.
I know a few guitar players who use modelers and I was surprised they often use the Dumble clean models. They're younger dudes, more into that technical rock, mathy stuff, fretboard tapping type stuff.

Just found this youtube video.
Great sound, and playing on presumably a Dumble...

I will let you judge, but sounds pretty awesome IMHO.
Cheers.

Fixed it, You want to remove the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v= part and just put in that weird series of characters. OR you can jsut use the new 'video' tag around any video link and it should do the same.fred.violleau wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 3:32 pm Just found this youtube video.

Re: Why Dumble cleans?
why wouldn't you actually show the amp if it was a real Dumble? also you can't really see from the guitar what it is either.
Not taking away from the playing but seems strange.

Nate is legit. I'm pretty sure it's a Dumble modded Marshall.norburybrook wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 4:27 pm why wouldn't you actually show the amp if it was a real Dumble? also you can't really see from the guitar what it is either.

Re: Why Dumble cleans?
Cool, so it's not a 'Dumble amp' from the point of view of this thread then really as it's a Marshall that may have had only a few components changed.JD0x0 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2018 6:10 amNate is legit. And from the outside it would just look like a Marshall
Sounds lovely though. Marshalls do have a lovely clean sound anyway I've found.

Somewhere, somehow, someone knowsNate is legit. I'm pretty sure it's a Dumble modded Marshall.
Internet brings people closer!
Humble and Dumble,

Re: Why Dumble cleans?
The guitar does look too clean to be a 57, the neck doesn't appear to be that big either. Mind you the guitar could have been refinished etc. It's hard to know with vintage guitars these days.
The amp clip has too much echo for my liking. I suppose it's good to know what a Dumble modded Marshall sounds like.

I've seen a few months ago a perfect condition 57. Finish look like new even the back of the neck.Mark wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2018 6:11 pm The guitar does look too clean to be a 57, the neck doesn't appear to be that big either. Awesome sound.
From the same previous owner I've seen some mint 59 LP's and not the worst sounding either.
Not often but it could happened.

Someone just sent me a video of this fella playing thru a Dumble-modded Marshall (and a very legit-looking Dumble 4x12" cab), as an example of where he'd like me to take his JTM 45. Can't find much info here or elsewhere about Dumble's Marshall mods, aside from the MegaPlexi that he did on some Fenders.

Re: Why Dumble cleans?
check out the Bluesmaster that's 'Marshall' esque .
I have a JTM45 with KT66's and I wouldn't touch it at all, it's perfect as it is.
