If you use some kind of shielding inside the top of the cabinet you need to clean off the top edges of the chassis from any oxidation so you get a good electrical connection with the shield when you tighten down the chassis.You need to do this just before you install the chassis..Ben probably witnessed his amp being put in the cabinet.

the "scrapping the whole build" after remeasuring at the end part had me confused though...
