Nice pics!

I haven't seen those power tube retainers before.

Anybody know anything about those?
Tom

Don't let that smoke out!

It's a clamp type of tube retainer used in missiles and aircraft

I think those were used in SVTs

Don't know if they work any better or not...

Bob
Please understand that IMO an answer to this question is of no practical relevance at all. - Max

Yep..Looks like an all original untouched low plate classic. 8)
Things of interest are
1 Output and power transformer leads are spliced..Could have been seasoned iron used
2 3 part chassis w/wood sides
3 40uf on V1 and V2 (like 102)
4 The presence cap looks to be a bit smaller than a .1 (could be a lower voltage)
5 250K B (linear) Bass pot
6 Looks like 8k1 grid resistors? :? (usually 1k5 for a 6L amp)
7 Have not seen Dumble use those type screen resistors before?(that era)..Could have been replaced..Other than that pretty much just like the one documented here

http://ampgarage.com/forum/download/file.php?id=14346

I'll bet this thing will talk to your daughter. :D
Nice amp indeed..Thanks for all the great shots Bryan and good luck with the article and sale of the amp..

All The Best!!

At one time I had a few left over from a shuttered rework facility. I'll see if I can get a part number.

If you absolutely don't need a tube to wiggle loose, these are the ones to use.
