It has the option of just 1x gain stage into the CF/HRM stack, or the ability to footswitch in the 2nd preceeding gain stage for the next level of OD.

This is the best circuit I've built or played, but be warned that it takes much time tweaking to get it "right".

Also, my V1 in the clean section is a 5879 pentode.....basically the "HoSo56" preamp that was developed over @ the Hoffman forum.

I use verb & delay in the loop, and it's not "boomy" at all (as was suggested might be possible earlier in the thread). I find myself playing the thing for hours....very inspiring!

I recently moved to a new house, so my recording gear isn't set up yet.....I'll try to get going with clips this week, or as soon as I can.

Those wood paneled VVT amps have to be some of the best looking amps being produced today.
Tom

da Geezer - how do you feel this compares to your TweedMaster? I was just researching two builds I'm planning whenever I can get parts. One will be Plexi focused and sounds like it'll be close to a Ripper w/HRM and Plexi output similar to described here, and the other was going to be some sort of cross between a Top Boost and Tweed Bassman with a non-HRM

I of course want to do both, but... real world - have to start with one and long time later do another. Your playing style and ideal tone seems really close to mine based on your TweedMaster notes and clips, so I'd really appreciate your thoughts :)
(I thought your tweedmaster clips were one of the best I have heard)
