Snubbers on V2A and V2B are both 25pF on TKT? I wouldn't have seen that coming from a mile away.

I'm fighting the urge to say "thanks", per request.

Quote's from Dogears

Tag's New Amp!
With all due respect to Tag, I spent mucho quality time with his Dumble and it is indeed one magical amp!! One of the best I ever played. So, no hype there.

Another

For me, Robben's tan amp and the EL34 powered #183 are my faves. Followed in third by a nice HRM EL34 model a friend owns. Maybe part of the issue is that I am a bridge pup guy and the classic stack is not my taste.

Does anyone know who was the original owner of #183? If not a household name, what kind of guitar did (s)he play?

As an aside, anyone know whether Bonnie Raitt's ODS was built for her?

Shad from Quinnamps, question.

I'm assuming that you did not repaired Mr. Ford's Dumble ODS. Which amplifier-company's amp did you work on when you took these notes?

Just curious....

All this flurry of info coming with my foot in a cast, a 50 watter and 100 watter going on my bench, 3 solid weeks off my straight job, and my wife being the cutest parts gopher on the planet!

Since no one wants any thanks..........
Screw you all very much!! :D

Clips or smoke coming soon. Or smoking clips.

Wait a minute.... Does amp building & Vicodin mix???

FWIW - either amp would do in a pinch. If I were to own one, I believe I would choose the EL34 amp for variety. Lots of 6L6 amps at home already. I must add though, the latest I am hearing of Scott's amp is very impressive!

Yup, just make sure you wash it down with some good Tennessee sipping whiskey or bourbon. :D

I believe it was made for a studio owner.

I'll never tell and maybe someone already did?

Really dig the cool, hashy "junk" in the high end of that amp! Character in spades.....
