What is that Light blue silicon goop he uses? Anyone know exactly?Funkalicousgroove wrote:I doubt that de-gooping hurts the value at all, but if need-be the goop is easily put back.
Some car product? I have seen a darker blue in auto shops but not that light blue. I sometimes think black can cause a problem. Most Blacks are made from some type of carbon.

Not positive that this is the goop he uses.. I've used it before with great sucess and after it dries looks like the stuff he uses.. High Dielectric

It is permatex, and they changed their blue color over the years, it was the dark blue 10-15 years ago, now its the light blue. The stuff that comes in the caulk gun tubes seems to be the right color, fwiw.
Owner/Solder Jockey Bludotone Amp Works
Re: Gregor's Dumble on the bay
wow,
is that amp really worth that much?!
nice to meet you on this forum gregor,
if you want to I'll come over with my multimeter and take some proper measurements!
There is no reason why an exact clone couldn't be build!
All the best!

Has anyone shed any more light on this one? Any chance Gregor, of getting
more pix or voltage measurements?
