VERY GOOD, VERY GOOD!!
Mr. D,

Your killing me with this.............I don't believe its your tele! You are lying...no way.
I swear it. I would never BS about that. Its a Detemple and sounds a little different, and is not QUITE as fat as the 67 I just sold, but it still sounds SOOO close to Fords. May I say "I" even like it more??

Yes. My stock Detemple 52 RI. Its the only tele I have now. I actually took it in trade towards the Dumble! The Quinn 183 is amazing.

First of all, congrats on your new 183, it sounds awesome.
And I love the idea of a reversed control plate on tele. I hope the top knob is a volume one.
Be cool mate.

One more Tele clip. On the chords, I pick really lightly and it stays nice and dark. Then in the lead, I pick harder, and listen to that upper end chime break out. SOOOO fine!!!! Its almost "magical". :P I have never even heard that in any of Fords vintage clips. Almost Vox EL84 like! #183 is SO special!

Tag do you use the Rock or Jazz setting when you play?

Is that Politician backing track you play to tuned a half step flat?

Hey Tag!

Here's a picture of my lightly reliced Haar Tele. Swamp Ash body, Brazillian board. OOZES Robben Ford tones. Fat and thick. Amazing guitar. Nothing like a great sounding Tele through a good Dumble style amp!! Please keep the GREAT clips coming!!!

Cheers!!

Chuck

Rock 99% of the time. I do find some very Ford like tones in the jazz position with the gain turned up to compensate.

That backing is odd. Got it off the net. No matter what I tune to,( even the track itself) I always seem a little out. Also, its very muddy, and makes everything seem duller than it really is.

Wow! Beautiful Chuck! Agree about the tele into the Dumble style amps. Sheer magic! Strats are almost the opposite. I really struggle with a Strat into a D style for the tones I like. The Redplate seemed to do the best with them.

Tag can you do some clips with a d-lator (I'll be using a d-lator with my Quinn 183') and a bucker equiped guitar.

Sure. I have not even tried that yet. I dont think I can for a few days though. Tonight I am going to be busy, and tomorrow night I am getting this thing next to the real 183! After that, I will give it a try and see how it sounds. :)

VERY GOOD!!!
These latest clips are really nice... showing the amp in a very favorable light! I'd love to hear a take on The Miller's Son, I always like the way the heavier chords in that track seem to bloom and pop out from the rest.
