I ordered a PT for a 50W D-style project from Poland last week.

Secondaries were:
345-0-345 VAC @200mA,
3.15-0-3.15 VAC @6A
5VAC @3A
12VAC @50mA

for only 74 €!
Is yours in that range?

I'd also order extra pots resistors and caps so you can do the Skyline update if you don't like the classic. It's only a few pieces but gives you a choice if like me you're not sold on the Classic tone stack.

However unless you've got a skyliner amp to compare it to you wont know until you've tried it

I have the skyliner tonestack in my #102 while the tonestack in the SSS #002 is classic. I like both.

The transformer I ordered had the following specs:

Primaries
220-230-240V

Secondaries
2x345V/ 250mA
50V/ 100mA (separate winding)
6.3V/4A
15V/100mA (for 12V regulated relays)

Now that you asked after checking the transformer more carefully and comparing it to my email order I noticed that I made two mistakes. I was in a rush of ordering stuff and I forgot to include the 15V winding. I guess I'll have to add a smaller PT later as in the originals. Also for some reason instead of 6.3V I wrote 7.3V but that can be fixed later by adding resistors in series with that winding.

As I already mentioned my situation with the transformers here is different from the "regular" procedure of ordering parts online so my final price is less than 50 Euro.
Since you mentioned Polish sources I know an online store that has decent prices on transformers in that range but I can do better than that.
The thing is most westerners are not aware of the fact that the more to the East you go the more prices of almost everything go down. For most people in the Western part Europe ends at the Hungarian or Polish border and they don't know that in some Eastern EU countries in many business areas some very good opportunities exist.

I´m aware of the less expensive electronic parts in the easter part of Europe and I have a hight estimation on their products.
Unfortunately often their internet performance (if they have one) is not in english. 50€ for a brand new PT is unbeatable low priced.

so, where are you from ? Romania? Ukraine? Belarus?, Russia?, Baltic States?

I have the skyliner tonestack in my #102 while the tonestack in the SSS #002 is classic. I like both.

I can imagine the classic working well on a SSS. have you tried a classic on an ODS though

Looks good. Fast progress.
You placed the standby switch previous to the rectifier diodes and the reservoir caps. Why? The eyelets for the HV, Bias winding and relay power look very close to each other. Make shure they don' t have contact.

The close eyletts thing was a miscalculation. I intended to put a connector there but then drilled larger diameter holes. I'll add some some heat shrink tubing on every other eylett just in case. I made some more mistakes during the wiring but nothing fatal for a first such build.
Concerning the Standby switch I was thinking of lifting the PT center tap but since it's a DPDT switch so why not use both sections which can handle better AC than DC.

I’m pretty much done with the amp. Now it’s time for experiments with the tone and eventually some samples which will be recorded by a friend of mine because I’m not the best guitar player in the world. Unfortunately at this time he has only a Greenbacks closed back slant cabinet which from what I know is not the best choice but currently it’s the only one.

As a whole it was an interesting experience but officially I hate the tolexing - that was the most annoying part of the whole project. I didn’t feel like spending 250E for a finished ready to go head shell available from some online stores so I had to do it myself. Due to some inevitable miscalculations it didn’t come out 100%.

Now let’s recap the whole experience with some numbers.
Cost of all parts + chassis + faceplates + pedal + head shell was around 680E. Let's also add some labor costs.
The only place I could find a price for an assembly service was TAD. Their average cost per kit is 50E per hour or an average of 500E per amp/kit. Although I spent more hours on the assembly I’ll take that as the price for labor as well which in my case includes assembling the amp AND finishing the head shell (from a bare plywood box). That makes a total of 1180E.
How does this compare to the currently cheapest similar amp available from Ceriatone. Their lowest price for similar build (less the lunchbox) is 1345USD which currently is ~1247E. Not bad – mine is cheaper already. But it’s even better because if we assume a 250E shipping, an average of 20% VAT and 5% customs upon arrival the same 1345USD amp in Europe will cost ~1870E. 700E of savings is not bad. I’ll take that any day even a month.

Well, he might have just done that, way cheaper than Volt Amps version of TAG layouts it seems too:D
