guitardude57, I used a Switchcraft 12B jack for a single relay, works fine.

I can't seem to find a 12V relay in Mouser from the various BOMs that are available. I thought I had asked this before but couldn't find that post.

Anyone had a good part number for the 12v relay I am using #124 layout and radio shack 12.6v tranny.

Mark,

You did ask before.....radio shack has them. You can go online and order them.....have them sent to your local store if they don't have them in stock there. Even the podunk town I am in, had them in the parts cabinet.
I believe they are made by Omron.....mine were.

I did find that thread http://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... ht=#122234

I looked on radioshack.com and did not find one compatable with the Dumble relay 12vdc DPDT PCB pins. The had one odd duck that was out of stock anyways.

What was the pin out difference between Shack's relays and the ones you found? Mine are DPDT, pin pairs of coil, common, N.C. and N.O.

12 VDC Coil DPDT Miniature PC Relay
Model: 275-249 | Catalog #: 275-249
$5.49 ea.

You can either use a dip socket, or carefully solder to pcb, eyes, or turrets direct.

Its huge too tall verses the low profile of the one I listed.

Also Apexjr sent me this link and those look like I could use that as well.

That one looks like the RS ones.....about 7/8 inch tall.

I will just use 1/4 inch relay board stand offs.
Not bad in a 2" chassis.

So the other ones you mentioned are shorter?

The only driving reason why I use a voltage doubler is because I had about 2 dozen 12V relays in my shop. I agree, Henry's example is really all you need for a 5v relay circuit.

That's the one I use with a 12V supply. (Less than half the price of the Digikey one.) It's high sensitivity (means higher coil resistance and therefore lower current requirement.) There's a high sensitivity 5V as well in that series which is the one ampdoc delivered with his relay boards. .

It depends a lot on what you're specifically using for the relay boards.

If it's a pretty standard 12V relay size, I used these on my recent build on Lou and xtian's board

https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/769-DS2Y-S-DC12V

I also used them on a previous #124 build I think too. Great quiet operating relays.
