Clips of clean, light and heavy overdrive from HRM100

Post by massygt6 »

HRM100 with the mods descripted in the other post.
The guitar is a semihollow Aria STD900, a 335 replica of the lawsuit era, a good and "woody sounding" guitar, bought for a misery...
Cab is an 1x12 vented with Eminence G1218 speaker,

cleans are deep+rock on, Od is mid boost only

www.theicon.org/beckish.mp3

both part with PAB on, mid boost on the 1st part, deep and rock on the 2nd, pretty modern Od sound in my opinion, very "Marshallesque"

Thanks again for the attention!

thanks guys
for this tracks I've used my new Rode Nt2-A, a condenser microphone, not so much expensive, great value for the money, right into a PreSonus mono tube preamp and into a Mackie Satellite Onyx interface.
Even if not properly a guitar microphone, it really shines when you want to capture a mellower sounds than a sm57, that can be very aggressive in the midrange.
I found it to be more "true" and respecteful to the real guitar tone that comes out of the speaker.

I like the solo clip and the cleans on the Beckish clip. Good chops all around too.
