O come on they clearly have a sense what is going on in an ODS. They didn't just use "their ears".

Sounded pretty meh, not ODS tone to me. Maybe they don't know how to set the input gain control.

Not really a bad price, if the iron is good and is really hand wired. Almost worth getting to tweak. I rather like the look, though not as nice as Tony's.....
Looks like a private seller. Dunno how many of these Peavey has done or is doing

I agree completely, there is more than enough free internet info on the ODS. It isn't the case of "Its a Unicorn" anymore. "Which amp to clone" is more the question now.

This amp was reverse engineered straight from a real Dumble ODS that one of the CEO's of Peavey owned + I bet Ultra Sound and a few other rental companies had a hand in this somehow.

Although, if its any company that can make a clone I think Peavey should be entitled (I guess?). People have done justice with the Peavey gut/rebuilds, XFRMRS, chassis etc. (Even Dumble himself) and all the guys in this forum have made some killer amps too.

With all do respect didn't Dumble use the treble bleed in some of his earlier non HRM's or did you come up with a different one?..Confused..

Sure, hence the " " in my post -- as the bleed is sometimes associated with my name, although it is the oldest trick in the book (t least in guitars) and Dumble had put that into a couple of his own amps. :P

If I remember correctly, when these first were announced they were attributed to a collaboration TJG... ( pedal maker? )

Yes, Juernig was a visitor here. Asking some fairly new-bee technical questions, and clearly mining and collecting data. Suddenly he was running the Peavey custom amp shop. He's since gone from there btw.

Saw a gut shot of one of these once. Not any 6PS caps but, a bunch of yellow stuff??
Doesn't look like the front panel matches this layout inside.....

compared to most things peavey I would put this on the short list of less sucking things but it's still a peavey. The good news the hick small town guitar shop might finally get some tone floating around town. But in modernized markets it's pricepoint is probably going to be hard to swallow for a Peavey.

bummer about you logo I'd contact them and point out the error of their ways and suggest the R&D department does a bit more R before they do the D
