Relay Drilling Template

Post by kd »

I know a lot of guys are using PCB's, but if you are a do it yourself type or don't happen to have a PCB, this may be of some help. I just drill out the holes on garolite, install the eyes and solder in the socket and wires from eye to eye where needed. The DIP socket is a 16 pin, and there are only 8 holes in the template. Just push the unused pins out of the socket and it's done. I suppose you could also cut them off flush at the base. Hope someone finds this useful.

I believe the one I'm using is a 1/8" which is going to put some of the eyelets very close together, if not slightly touching. There is a smaller 3/32" that you may like better for more room.

This may be a little more helpful.

I have also shown the different eyelet sizes, all are available form mouser

I can send CAD files if anyone needs them.
