Everything You Ever Wanted to Know Part II

Post by ayan »

It's been almost six years since my first 124 post and I think we could use spicing things up a bit around here. A number of things happened thanks to those pictures: I made some new friends, some people put in a lot of work and thoroughly documented the amp with schematics and diagrams, some built amps and shared their experiences and lessons learned, some went into business for themselves, etc. Mostly very positive I would say, which is extremely cool, and you know who you are. To those who still soak up as much as they can but share little or nothing... I fart in your general directon, but, you're still welcome to benefit from this new batch all the same.

Without any further adieu, this is one of the most unique amps ever built by H. Alexander Dumble, and I suspect the only one of its kind. Download away, bitches:

Thank you, sir.

Here's some initial observations:

Low plates- looks like all cathodes are 4.7 or 5uf
classic stack
cap across grid stopper to V1B (not normally found w/ Classics!?!)
standard PI as far as I can tell
1k Presence pot

That's all I can see for now

It's 4:53 and time to sleep

Gil, I've not added pics to the Dumble Archive for some time now, but this is one that deserves it. With your permission, may I add these to the archive?

Rob.

Freaking Awesome!

Gil, your generosity and support has been instrumental in helping to create a community that I believe is unparallelled on the internet.

For that, I thank you.
