I'd like to run a wet/dry/wet rig and not sure which way to go...
Miced into small stereo PA/mixer ala Carlton (might be nice to have a small PA for other uses too)?
Pre-out into stereo dumbleator with a dry out back to main amp, and a stereo power amp feeding L/R cabs?
Line Out off speaker taps of dry amp?
Some other way I'm not think of?
I was kind of thinking of building a stereo power amp and dumblelator II all in one head cabinet.
For the wet power amp I could use my peavey power amp from my bass rig, or build a ~40 watt stereo tube power amp with some Sansui Iron I have laying around.
My dry amp is 100W hybrid in a twin configuration, and I have a 2-12 cab that I like (Oval back pine w/floating 5/8 baffle and Heppner alnicos from an L-100) and could build a second for L/R for low bucks.
Considering some strymon stuff in the loop, Flynt and timeline, but for that price could go with a rack unit instead.
Any ideas or advice?
Thanks, Erik
Any ideas on wet/dry/wet set-up? Oddessey, Dumblelator II?

ER,
depends on what this rig is going to be used for ie: regular gig rig, studio/recording....Home use....
The quick way would be to use the loop in your amp.
What I did was, install a line out with level control, out to a single rack mount processor. out of that to a stereo power amp. The amp runs straight to a 4x12 dry and the stereo side catches 2 2x12 cabs.
The positives for this rig are, I could get away with a SS power amp for the effects as the head produecs the tones I'm after. The parts for the line out are minimal.
The down side is this rig dosen't travel...to much stuff to gig with...
There's no way to mix any dry into the wet cabs.....
For what I need this way works best for me. YMMV.

I've heard the rack of Doom it sounds nice.

Did the same thing and went with a line out from an attenuator (wrecks with no loops), that then goes to a single rack space mixer, then to effects, etc.
Used to carry around a big heavy power amp for the wet signal and now I'm using the electro-harmonix caliber 44 power amp. It's a pedal thats the size of a tuner, very light and has plenty of power for my mono-wet signals. Would be easy to add a second one if stereo is required, but not there yet.
