Wow, thanks a lot!!!! I want to check out and see just how much secret keeping sauce Nik used to cover up "his" secret sauce.

It definitely has all the hallmarks of one of Nik's builds though!!

Thanks again!

Tony, i had you in mind.

If I were to brandname my current amp building ability compared to yours it'd be Tone Maggot.

Starting to live a new dream, I'm finishing up drywalling the shop area of my basement, with full intention of creating single build original design for onstage use custom guitar cabs featuring my secreat weapon speakers scavenged from fleabay. And somehow that name and some sort of logo will go on them named individually like Ken's amps.

Hoping to make room for build masters regarding this, would like few as possible idle gossip comments to follow, please.

Peace..

Thanks you for the compliment, and yes. there is also enough room for a moderate drum kit and 7 piece band jam, a bar, and music video party partners. Hope to learn and refining nonexisting clip rec skills. Baby member on the way here learning how to swim.

212Mavguy,

Thanks for the photos.

I hate to sound critical because I know the effort you went to, but many of those shots are kind of out of focus.

Remember the point is, to be able to read component values if possible.

When taking photos sunlight is not really the best, it over exposes it.

Indirect lighting with a darker background works well.

Not sure what camera you have but when I shoot an amp I use a tripod.

Then I will use the timer on my camera so it doesn't shake when it trips the shutter.
Because if the area is not real bright the exposure time is longer so you need a very still camera.

When taking close up's from a foot away or closer I use the Macro setting on the camera,
this maintains a better focus on close up's.

Hope this helps you for future pics.

@ Tom,

Thanks, I was using a cell phone camera, all I have that I can work with right now. I was trying so hard to get close enough that I exceeded the minimum focus distance. I was trying for light that would be bright enough to see the resistor color bands in the shadows as well as direct lighting to see through the hotmelt glue, hard to get both.

It would please me, being the OP, to see all of the "Nik's pics" deleted immediately. by the mods. Let's get rid of the garbage now, blurry pics are about as helpful as having a bunch of cold solder joints in a d-build.

I will submit pics verified in usable focus and lighting qualities per suggestions within the next 48 hours. I'll work on stabilizing camera shake.

Regarding the C-tone sticky, yep, a bit of tweaking is good but it works as is. That, ah, irritating thang is just as bad with regard to most if not all of their models, not just the SSS, it's the C-tone zeitgeist of unusual, "lack of proper for here" manners that ruffles feathers.

Dang, when I walk into a room filled full of strangers talking to one another, I slip in, not jump in, I sure take a few to listen to what is going on before I start flapping my lips. In some situations not doing so could literally get me killed.

Thanks again.

An absolutely beautiful set of pics have already been posted by passfan on the Ctone SSS here:

This is the type of quality to shoot for, IMO.

212mavguy,

I hope I didn't sound like a dick.

I know how hard it is to take a good picture.

If you are shooting outdoors a cloudy day is actually better because it diffuses the light more.

I hope I didn't hurt your feelings.
