Good point.

When Charlie Wilson posten til pics etc., I re-build my 5e3 to TD spes. IME it pretty much soundsl like an ordinary 5e3 with all its pros and cons.

I got tired of both the 5e3 original and the Tweedle Dee version. Today the amp has evolved into a (Richter inspired) "grab n' go", 2x 6v6, Basmann 5f6a in a 1x12 package. Should have done this from the beginning.

There's a video or two of Jelle's Tweedle D played by Matt Rae. Sounds good, but then again everything Matt Rae does sounds good. :)

My Tweedle Dee is unchanged and going strong, not my favorite amp but people like it. A harp player really enjoyed it but not enough to buy the damn thing. :)

Music has to breathe and sweat. You have to play it live

heres mine
Your amp sounds great. Of course the nice pickups and playing helps. :) That speaker matches well with the amp. I am curious, what transformers did you use and is everything else per the layout? I am thinking of building another one.

thanks charlie! and thanks again so much for your help. yeah its the same just my own parts selection.. mullard military rectifier, JJ 6v6's. the power is a mercury fat stack multi tap universal.. its 230v where im using it now, but i listened to the different taps and i think used 220v tap, i forget.. tried a old 60 conn organ OT, but settled on a 63 schumacher that was pulled from a old magnatone 6v6 amp... it sounded sweeter and more "right" in the EQ.. the conn was more raw sounding. i tried modding the amp a little from stock but everything i tried i just put back, sounded worse.. Oh, i also used a vibrolux cab, which is just a bigger size deluxe... its pretty much the same size as a matchless 1x12 cab.. an idea to consider.. thank you!
