BrownNote email

Post by oggidog »

I've been trying to communicate with the folks at BrownNote but so far no replies to my emails. Does anyone know if he is out of town, hospitalized.... or typically slow to respond to emails? I would like to order a D'lite 44 kit and have some q's.
Thank you.

Mosss (owner) usually responds to emails.
Maybe someone here can answer your questions.
I recently built a D44.

Hey,
I see you here and on the brownnote forum, you're very helpful to those who post. I would have posted on his site but part of the registration there is getting the 'ok'. I have been notified that an email will be sent giving me authorization to post but haven't got that yet and cannot login there with the name and password I chose during registration, so here I am....

Anywho, I wanted to know if these kits are still available. The order page is there but so is a thread on the forum saying that d'lite kits have been discontinued. I could not find anything in the forum saying that they are "re-available". I am hesitant to forge forward and place an order.

Can the d'lite 44 kit run either 6V6 and 6L6 with a bias adjustment?
Thanks.

Hey there,
We did just switch to bigger/better servers but I didn't think it was affecting email.
can you PM me and let me know what email you're using...the brown-note.com domain is being phased out in favor of the brownnote.net domian.

Anyway...PM me here or use brown-note(AT)pacbell(DOT)net to get through...sorry for the trouble, it should be all squared away within a few days.
Thanks!
Remember kids...Always adjust for minimum smoke!

As for availability I'll have to let Rocco (Moss) answer that one.
But, yes the D44 comes with a dual primary OT with 4K and 8K windings.
So you can run a variety of output tube flavors.
But on mine I decided to stick with 6L6's so I have been adjusting things to lean that way.
