Putting the Rock/Jazz switch to good use

Post by Normster »

Consensus on this forum seems to be that the R/J switch is useless. (I agree. I never use the jazz position.) But what about using it as a US/UK switch? Steve Ahola had a pretty good switching scheme for this on his Pignose G40V mod article:

Using a 4PDT switch, you can change not only the treble cap value, but the slope resistor as well. By using a larger cap and smaller slope, it should emphasize the mids a little more giving it a slightly more Marshally tone.

Anyone tried this?
