My latest Overdrive Rocket
Here is a pic of my latest Overdrive Rocket.
I mounted in a blue suede cabinet to get that old D vibe.
It's a 50 watt non-HRM
I'm designing the faceplate so this is sans-plate.Notice the incredibly legible felt marker.

Cabinet looks great. This is what I would like to do for my #40 clone. I have seen that the VOX grillcloth is very expensive. What material is used for the suede covering? DId you do the cabinet yourself?phsyconoodler wrote:Here is a pic of my latest Overdrive Rocket.

Yes I did the cabinet. It is actual suede lether covering. It goes on quite easily.
The cabinet is made of poplar,as I find it doesn't warp like pine and it dovetails very well. The Vox cloth was leftover from an AC30 restoration. It is indeed $$$$$$!!!!

Re: My latest Overdrive Rocket
Thanks guys.
There is a one twelve cabinet coming soon too.Funny thing about this amp is that it sounds better than it looks.I used NOS paper in oil coupling caps just for fun and they absolutely rock! They make orange drops sound dull and lifeless in comparison. My recording guy is back in town next saturday so I'll post an mp3 soon.
