A Dumble book

Post by hipbluescat »

Hello

There is a Dumble book available.

http://www.curledup.com/dumblebk.htm

The catch is the $ 268.50 for the book.

Has anyone ever read this?

I do not think it has any real technical information.

Regards

Paul

Pretty expensive publication. I think you are right about the lack of technical info. I've bought Kevin O'Conner's TUT 6, which has a chapter dedicated to dumble amps.

The dumble book was discussed in this post a couple of month ago:

The info on this site is more comprehensive than the book. And it's live data, which means you can discuss it.

Yes, we have discussed that book quite a bit here.
If you search I'm sure you can find the thread(s).
Several people here have bought it and said while it didn't tell anything revolutionary about HAD, it was a good read with good photos.

Is it worth the price?

That would depend on how much disposable income you have.

I bought it a year ago. The last two chapters were covered in brown dog poo.
Just kidding. I don't have it.

I bought a pair of shoes from a drug dealer the other day. I dunno what he laced them with but I’ve been tripping all day,

Hi hipbluescat,

I bought a copy not too long ago and I'm glad I did.

The thing with the price is that the US-Dollar is sooo low.
They're based in europe and charge 149,99EURO's for the book.

There is some technical and a lot of model information/history in the book,
but it does not show any schematics...

And there are 2 unreleased interviews with the man.
Have you checked their homepage?

In the end you'll have to decide for yourself if it's worth buying.

Cheers,

John
