My new Amp

Post by sergio »

D-clone #124non-HRM w/reverb.

a friend of mine has tried it with a guitar P.R.Smith and the sound is very similar to C. Santana , with big surprise!!

Nice looking build Sergio and with tone like C. Santana can't be a bad thing. :)

Very nice build. I'm a big fan of Santana, very cool that you're getting his tone.

Looks verrrry good! I'm glad it sounds as good. Did you have to tweak it at all? Is it correct componentwise, eg RN65 100K plate resistors etc.?

Your cabinet looks really good. Being in Italy it must have cost you a bundle to get it made.

Sergio, in your pic of the board it looks like you are also using RN65s for PI plate resistors and power tube grid resistors.

Did you do that originally or were they tweaks after you first tried the amp out?

I also have a non-HRM and can get a variety of great sounds.

Nice looking AMP. Can you post the schematics? Or at least, how the reverb is implemented?

Sergio

Sweet build!! Hey those silver bypass caps on V1 V2 are those the Sprague low ESR caps... They look a little bigger than the 25v ones.. I love those Sprague low ESR's especially in the OD side.. Smooooth!!
