Solid-looking hunk of metal. I can see that many hours of thought went into planning that. Why don't you get it polished and anodised? (Look better than powder coating IMHO.)

Those welded/rounded corners are fantastic!

Looks like a great chassis!

Yes Many hours of planning indeed! Because I want a matte black look with a bit of grain

That is one single piece of aluminum bent and welded together!

Over the past few days I primed and sprayed the outside of the chassis matte black.

Today, I finished a lot of the mechanical assembly

Well, I have to pay the company my acquaintance works for and I payed 135 euros including two aluminum face plates (which are now at the printer to get screen printed). 135 euros is good if you're in Europe. It's cheaper than importing most ready made chassis.

That 135 euros included material, cutting, bending and welding. I did the painting myself afterwards.

Just let me know if I can help you get one. You can use my design if you want

What's that in us dollars. I assume shipping would be 30 or so.

Beautiful chassis. Joost how did you calculate the material loss on the bends so it ends up the correct dimensions.
