EDIT:
I had posted the wrong info I will check the voltage on that Hammond AO-35 I know what the other Hammond organ transformer was 324v in my Hot Fudge with nuts build but forgot the voltages for the amp you asked about.

I built a DaisyCutter a while back and it's a great sounding amp. On the gainy side for sure...no real clean to be had but it sure is a ton of fun to play. Great master volume too.

Yeah Randy is a great builder and designer, but I'm looking for something with a decent amount of headroom and a little chime..

What about the xitsamps x10 clone posted in the TW forum. The schematic has been updated with accurate values.

Did that thread ever conclude with a final schematic?

Modified Spitfire makes a nice compact amp. Sounds great. Recently did one in a PJ chasis. With good tubes, volume and cut are all you need.

In regard to the modified Spitfire above, can someone explain if there's any benefit in having points C and D on the power supply (PI and pre-amp, respectively) at separate but parallel nodes, when they have the same dropping resistor and filter cap?
Couldn't that all be fed from the same point? Sorry if its a dumb question, just not sure if I'm missing something

If in series the resistor would drop more voltage. The voltage drop would be the sum of the resistance drawn by both tubes multiplied by the resistance.

But yes the same thing could have been done with one resistor to get the same voltage.
