Good point, I wan't sure if it would work, just wanted to ask. I want to use amps to get my cleans on overdrive tones. Actually I want to start making my own amps and a friend of mine will help me to learn all that.

Good luck with the amp building. I had never done it until coming to this forum, and now have built a Liverpool and Rocket to go with my express. You won't regret doing it.

If you get an amp layout nailed down then still need help with wet/dry setup let us know.

I know this is an old topic but I been trying to find a simple way to do a cheap but effective effects set up for my Express clone since building in an effects loop is not good. I know quite a few of the complex wet/dry or wet/dry/wet setups but I was interested in the idea of being able to do a post Express amp effects setup that feeds back into my single 4 x 12 cabinet.

I don't want to split the speakers in that cabinet since they are only 25 watt speakers and feeding that Express into 2- 25 watt speakers runs a risk of blowing them during power spikes at loud volumes.

Can someone explain the idea of using a line mixer to feed a mono signal with effects into a single 4 x 12 so that I can accomplish my simple goal of adding effects to my Express with the need for a stereo setup?
