The secret ingredient in this project is that bottle of Jack Daniels in the background.
:D

Joking.
Pretty impressive!

Very cool!

What OT are you winding? A clone or your own private label? I like the bottle of Jack in the background of the first photo

EDIT: Hahah, Bowman saw it too

My eyes (liver) we're immediately drawn to it.
Looks a lot like my work area.
Well............the Jack anyway.

Sagitt, is that a real core winder? Always wanted one of those but never could afford it.

Very nice work Sagitt. Looks fantastic.

I'm getting ready to wind another set same general specs as the last ones (300-0-300V PT and 6.6k OT) for a 30W blues harp amp. Then I'm planning to progress the two amp builds (Express and the harp amp) in parallel.

Do you have any hints on stopping the end turns falling into the winding margin? It's the only bit I still have trouble with.

I'll bet you're just using the Jack as a solvent, right?

Cool. I see you rigged that calculator as turns counter too.

Hmm...thought you rigged up that calculator for counter job, myself - wouldn't bother to build a discrete decade counter, born lazy
Place the calculator so that the single tooth on the wheel will press "=" button every turn. Enter "1 +" into calculator, now every time "=" button is pressed it increases the count by 1. Or you can start by entering "XYZABC-1", then every time the "=" button is pressed the count decreases by 1.
You can of course connect an external microswitch to the "=" button but it can be necessary to de-bounce it.
