I should mention I have all the parts listed on the Huss website as far as caps cans and resistors go. I've got a choke, a 8k-8ohm 20w ot and a 270v-0-270v pt. the pt is a little lower voltage then the one huss used but I've been told it world work ok as it's closer to original marshall specs, if I wanted I could just decrease cuircit resistance later on. If I created a diagram with all the parts and turret board on it could someone play connect the dots with it for me?

OK I've thrown together the Huss 6V6 board and SDM 1987 layout. I did not redraw all of the wires going to the tube sockets and pots, but circled the turret connections in the same colors as the existing wires. Note I switched the pin numbers for the first two triodes on the board so they will connect to the V1 socket as shown in the layout better. The other connections look good, but I'm still looking. I don't know where Mark put the PI filter (the 3rd 22u 450V cap), so I just left the second can shown in the 1987 layout and connected it up. Maybe it’s under the choke? This is a good start; have a look at it and see if it makes sense to you. If anyone else sees a mistake, please speak up.

Edits: updates, corrections, single input jack/bridged channels, clean-up, transformer info...

You're in good hands with Martin.

One thing I would check is the mains voltage connection. What is the power line voltage in Australia?
What?

Kudos Martin - you are way ahead of me here. I was going to try and edit in all the stuff and connections around Hendrix' photo, but your effort is really great IMO!

Hendrix 83 is it possible to get a shot beneath the board? I'm not sure why the 68K resistors are linked together - right beneath the yellow 0.022 uF cap on the left side of the photo. Possibly internally jumpered?

Yes the inputs are internally jumpered on my board. Mains voltage here is 240v, my pt has 2x120v taps which I was told by the seller I wire in series (or maybe parrallel) for the 240v. Have you got a link martin?

See my r.3 version for the single input jack option as shown in M Huss' build photos. Dual primaries are wired in series for 240V, parallel for 120V. They have to be in phase, though. Did your PT come with a wiring diagram?

r.4 version has some clean-up and transformer info added. I'm not too thrilled with the fuse-on-neutral power inlet, the ground scheme, or the soldered-to-the-pots ground bus in general.

I live in Sydney which isn't as close as Newcastle, I can help but I'm not prepared to travel to the Central Coast as it is quite a hike and my family wouldn't be into it either.

Push comes to shove we can get the amp working.
Yours Sincerely

How would I go about wiring it up with not the one input Jack, permanent jumpereed internally? Also I only have the one cap-can its 32+32uf -10+30%500v

Also only one speaker out at 8ohm no impedance selector.

You could do four inputs like the 1987 Plexi layout shows, in which case you could easily jumper the channels externally, or you could do one input for each channel. Or even low/high input (with cascaded channels) like a 2204. What's your preference?

If your 22uF PI filter is an axial cap you could just add another small terminal strip and mount it in place of the second can cap.

With only one speaker output for 8 ohms you would eliminate the impedance switch and connect the OT secondary directly to the speaker jack (as shown in the M. Huss schematic).

Do you have a chassis? Is it blank (no holes yet), or drilled-out?
