Airbrake Buzz

Post by apache »

I just finished building an Airbrake copy. It sounds good on the first three settings, but after that it tends to add a buzzy fizzle sort of sound to notes. I've heard some people say that they experience this buzz and some say they don't get it at all with their airbrake... what gives? Is there a modification that can reduce this buzz, or is it related to the amp/speaker being used?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I would check the connections on the ohmite adjustable resister. On mine, I had to get fairly agressive with a wire brush to make really good contact at the correct resistance. That being said, I only like it for the first three or four clicks max. Beyond that, I start to lose something in the tone.

I already checked the resistances. I don't think it's related to any of that because it happens with the bedroom setting especially (rheostat).
