Ampeg VT22 V4 - restoration

Post by roadkingbluzs »

Hello folks, can anyone tell me what transformer manufacture this is? Very early blue line, two prong power cord ,requiring globs of TLC. Tranny looks to have been replaced. EIA codes do not help. Thanks

Ok, which transformer is this, PT or OT?
What is the issue with the amp?

Sorry for lack of info, but this is the OT . PT wires and iron are crusty and greasy/ nicotine? 100 watter that I would like to play around with , revise to bass amp. What do you think, purchased amp with only two tubes inserted, working ,but wanting to make sure I can plug in the other two without any issues. Hench is this the proper replacement iron.(NO SVT $$$)

Note! Never spray clean one of these original faceplates with Fantastic unless you want to erase everything on them, do not ask me how I know this!!!

Thanks Stevem for advice and suggestion, but looks like someone beat me to it. Fliptop is not responding to my email and looks like they no longer offer this faceplate.

Bruce at fliptop responded and we had a good conversation. Unfortunately another run of V4 type faceplates not in works anytime soon until a substantial number of request are made or lump sum by single party or group. Looks like blue sharpie here I come :(
I will at least try and bring back sonic bliss
