I thought to myself this morning that I sure spend a lot of time in these forums , but I don’t ever post any of my own work , so I thought I would catalog a few clips where players got to run them through their paces . Feel free to make honest remarks enjoy

What circuit is this? Great sounding amp!
Basics: 100w EL34B (tungsol) twin PT super lead OT ,220 series 50-50-33-33 filter caps, Marshall values for LTPI and presence (22k instead of 10k) , ODS style low plate preamp classic stack, no lnfb, rock /jazz replaced with cathode bypass cap bass boost on v1b (how he plays it, and every other cathode is bypassed 10-22 uf ) , three way mid and bright switches, push pulls for midrange frequency shifting , low plate overdrive 27p cathode to plate with 100k level pots throughout .
Started out years ago as 183 for a reference (which I never liked) and it was later rebuilt for Johnny. He is a Marshall guy , so the platform worked well .
This amp has those 716p caps on the PI , and it really brings out the singing dog whistle ! Harmonic feedback and crystal top end . 6ps throughout the rest of the amp keeps it from shearing off your head .

Thanks for the rundown, Charlie. It sounds great. Seems like it has clarity with a fat grind but maintains separation. I love a good, cranked Superlead when they sound like the best horn and with the snarl and bite. I remember being not that keen on 183.

That’s a great description with the horn analogy; this is the most important part of guitar imo … the elephant roar . I need the amp to reset my dna

Re: Amplifiers being played
Got another prototype put together . Hi gain jcm800 inspired circuit with a few twists and turns . Only 50 watts and really grinds . Surprised it sounds decent , because this one together using nothing but random parts …
…just kidding , every component was selected specifically for each position with extreme intention . Feel free to ask ! Cheers!
