Hey thanks for letting me know! Are you able to go straight to the trial screen (workbench.epic-devices.com)?

Should be good to go now, but please let me know if anyone has issues signing up/in, getting codes, or whatever.

Best,

Bryce

I'm getting a "Failed to fetch" error when hitting the "Proceed to checkout" button, after inputting my name and email. Win 11 Pro, Edge.

Sorry, busy day at the day job today. Having some trouble with my Stripe integration. Sorting that out, but should have it within a few hours. Apologies for face-planting right out of the starter's box. haha

No transformer between the output stage and the speaker (or did I miss it)?

Just an update - I was able to checkout successfully, and yes - I can hit the https://workbench.epic-devices.com/ URL as well. Looks like whatever Stripe trouble you were having has been resolved.

Awesome! Did you receive the code in your email as well? I wasn't able to resolve that issue until this morning, but it should be working now. If you need it, I think I can resend.

Well spotted. So, the power amp is a really complex thing to simulate. I DO have a transformer model involved. If you click on the power amp block you can see it by clicking on View Schematic. My first pass at the power amp was a completely separate LTPI block, a tube power stage, separate transformer, and a speaker. I was faking presence and compression, and it worked. Kinda. In order to actually simulate in spice I had to decide where to separate and where to keep together. Because of the interaction of negative feedback, and the dynamic response of the presence control, I felt like one block for the power amp was the easiest path forward. I will likely separate them again eventually so that people can not be as limited. For now, though, the power amp is basically a 50w PP power section with a transformer secondary at 8 Ohms.

Yeah, I spoke too soon - I didn't receive the code, but the checkout worked at least. Would you mind resending when you can?

Thanks! Excited to start playing with this.

You should have it now.

Also, the DI guitar loop I've embedded is the one from the Kemper forum, which those guys use to test their rigs with. However, it's like in Drop C or something. I included a sample JCM800-ish project to play around with, but it's a little woofy in the low end. You'll have to do the normal frequency shaping to tighten that up. But hey, you can! Give it a shot.
