5881s in a Fender Twin

Hey everyone,

I have an 81/82 twin I'm currently overhauling and came across some 5881 tubes. Seems like an interesting adjustment, and the price is right. Has anyone done such a thing?

thats a mil. type 6l6 .... a very common thing to do..... theres a whole range
of 6l6s to try......I like the old style coke bottles myself.... double check the
bias point with the change....

Thanks ALB, sounds simple enough. These are new GT special orders that the buyer never picked up. ~40 bucks -- I figure I can't go wrong and then I have another set of 6L6 lying around for whatever...
