It's MIL-C-17D! Has to meet those specs. I'm sure it's equal or better than the Belden. All RG188A/U is rated for 1200V if it meets MIL-C-17 specs. And the eBay stuff does.

Just use any shielded cable. RG174 is fine for a hot shield mod and its gonna be less than 300v at V1 of any circuit I know exists in the guitar world
look at ceriatone AFD amp for example of hot shield. they use RG174 Btw

I love the RG188 stuff from eBay. Doesn't melt, center conductor is robust and pre-tinned, small size, and sounds great!

i have been buying the ebay stuff. not cheap but this is the best coax i've tried and i've tried many.

Talk to Steve at Apex Jr.. I just bought some aircraft 5086 type 2 wire from him and it looks exactly like that with a gold stripe. 95% or better shielding. Woven shield wire, 20awg center conductor. Good stuff.
Just plug it in, man.
