Re: Tonestack Calculator for iOS / Android
@sneakers563 Tonestack Kit has been removed from the Apple App Store! Found out when I went to update my apps. Is it coming back? (It didn't delete the app, so I can still use it.)

Re: Tonestack Calculator for iOS / Android
I'd love an Android version of this as well
right now i have to run to the pc all of the way across the house when i want to fiddle in the tone stack calculator
obviously it's still better than figuring it out by hand but... give me convenience or give me death!

Hey sneakers563!
I’m only six years late to the party….
. This is really cool! Is it still available in the iOS App Store? If so, what is it called? I tried searching for Tonestack Calculator, but I didn’t see any relevant results.
Thanks!
Luigi

Re: Tonestack Calculator for iOS / Android
Hello! Sorry to resurrect a pretty dead thread...
TonestackKit for iOS is back in the app store, oh so many years later. The issue, way back when, was that I was under a pretty restrictive IP agreement at work and my boss was very sensitive about people working on side projects. Recently, however, that all changed. I'm under a much less restrictive IP clause, and I have written permission to develop and publish the app. I'm committed to keeping the app running for the forseeable future. If, at some point, I find I can't keep up with it, I'll open-source it in the hopes someone else can take it on.
As far as an Android version, I have tested it in the Android emulator and it seems to work ok. I need to debug one last platform-specific thing, and then figure out the Google Play Store requirements. I am hopeful that I can have it up in the next couple of weeks.
For those who aren't familiar with the app, there are 29 stacks available:
1974X Normal (Marshall 18W Normal Channel), 1974X Tremolo (Marshall 18W Tremolo Channel), 5F2A (Tweed Princeton), 6162 (Gretsch Dual Twin), Bridged-T (Gibson mid control), Bridged-T Alt (Framus mid control), Tilt (Big Muff Pi), Flex Tilt (a switched version allowing different mid behavior), Moonlight, 6G6B (Blonde Bassman), 6G7 (Brownface Bandmaster), 6G8 (Brownface Twin), Baxandall, Bone Ray, Centurion (Danelectro Centurion), E-Series (I have no idea but was in Duncan Munro's original utility), James, Top Boost (Vox Top Boost), Voigt, YGM3 (Traynor Guitar Mate), 1959 (Marshall Plexi), 2555X (Marshall Silver Jubilee), 60TC (Carlsbro 60TC), AB763 (Blackface Fender 3 Knob), DR103 (Hiwatt DR103), James with 'Shift' Control, and Overdrive Special (Dumble ODS).
If anyone has suggestions for other circuits they'd like to see added, I am always open to suggestions. I have the 5E3 partially complete.
One feature I would like to add is the ability to display a second "reference" response curve on the main display. My thinking is that the user could standard or "known-good" values from a save and the response for those values would be displayed dimly, alongside the main response. The idea is to facilitate direct comparisons between changes to the circuit values and hopefully provide a nice illustration of what particular components control. For instance, what effect does changing a particular component have over the full frequency range and over the full range of slider positions? I'm still thinking through how best to implement this, so I am open to suggestions for this, as well.
In any case, I appreciate the support I got when the app was originally available, and happy that there is still some interest even today.

Re: Tonestack Calculator for iOS / Android
I have not tried your app, look forward to doing so.
For Fender and Dumble I would like to be able to toggle the bright caps in and out. Like bright switch along with the T, M, B and volume sliders.
Thanks

Thanks Pullshocks.
I don't think any of the existing circuits have bright caps on the volume pots. I generally left the volume pots out of the circuits unless they were interactive with the circuit, like the 5F2A or the 18w Trem channel. I do like the idea of switchable components, though, which is present in the ODS circuit.

Re: Tonestack Calculator for iOS / Android
Tonestack Kit is now available on the Google Play Store for Android.
Other than any bugfixes, I'm going to take a week or two away from it in order to build a bass cab. Once that is done, I'm going to add the ability to view the response of two circuits simultaneously and see about adding a couple of other circuits.
If anyone has any feature requests, you can post here or email me at scmartin@justthewind.org.
Thanks!
