Interesting design Aron. I know you said it was cranked, but what were the gain and volume settings of the amp? Can it get clean as well?
Can you explain the power supply?
By the way, do you own DIYstomboxes.com?
Oh, and welcome to the Amp Garage

Hey that looks great! How much b+ are you getting out of that step up power supply? Are you getting any sag/compression out of it when you get on it?
These sub miniature tubes are a blast to play with. Iv'e been working on this one for a few months http://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6159
I would like to try one of the 5840 pentodes in the front end of an amp to see if the has the jangle of a EF86. These sub minis are amazing!

Re: "Murder One" - Submini Pentode Amplifier
Welcome Rick!
I would be interested in anything to do with the sub minis. I try and stick with stuff that runs 6.3v heaters and voltages over 100v. Having said that. I would love to look at any pedal designs using the lower voltage tubes. Just last night I was downloading the schematic for the seymour duncan twin tube classic that uses a couple of 6021s IIRC.
It's funny that there seems to be a surge of interest in the last year in "Bedroom amps", and there are only a couple of micro amps out there using these tubes.

Nice! What do you estimate the wattage at? Not familiar with that tube but see some nice possibilities there.
