Wow Tom he really got screwed and still paying to get some kind of order in that amp. Tech to the stars huh.

I am sure ebay and other places are going to see a lot of home built amps being sold as originals in the years to come.

Caveat emptor indeed!

When you buy an old MGB you better look under the hood first and you better know what you're looking at. This poor guy had "screw me please" stamped on his head.

Yes, can you imagine spending $10K for an amp then finding out it is a hacked up POS?

Not saying the buyer got what he deserved but he should have had the amp checked out by a competent tech before buying it in the first place.

Its a testament to the economy and the consumer, there are people out there
willing to spend $$$ on top gear, and to be involved, at least in some way,
with what they perceive as legendary artists. I've seen this before.
Popped his cherry, just because whats his name did work for so and so,
in no way means that you can validate a relationship with your hero's
by trying to buy into it after the fact.

I hate to see a guy getting stiffed, but it might be a calculated brush off.

Besides, friends don't let friends buy marshall's.

I have been amazed at some posts you see on the internet. Some people don't seem to understand that how you type your message can make it extremely difficult to interpret  My old English teachers would come out of their grave and string me up if I did that. It has been shown that improper spelling is not too much of a problem, but capitalization and punctuation were invented for a reason :!: Imagine trying to read a novel without it :?

If you ever met Terry, it would all make sense. I don't think his life includes punctuation or capitalization. It's what makes him such a brilliant, rare, and fascinating person.

Here he is with Dogears...

When I was a child, the teachers really didn't care about the content of your message as long as it was spelled and punctuated correctly.
Not everyone was exposed to that type of education. I'm not sure if that was a blessing or a curse.
It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the brilliance of an individual's skills or character.

Yeah, but you gotta like the passion in his post, even though it was hard to read. Clearly, it bothered him and he is willing to do something about it. That is worth something in my book.
