Lord of the Rings Trilogy 300 (pure art, killer action and cinematography) Raiders of the Lost Ark (campy by today's standards, but an iconic film) Bladerunner Underworld (killer action and original concept, Kate Beckinsale in vinyl two-fisting machine-pistols, what more could you want?) Star Wars (1977, none of that later muppet crap) The Big Lebowski (phone's ringin' dude) Caddyshack/Uncle Buck/Vacation Pick of Destiny 13th Warrior (today is a good day to die little brother!) The Count of Monte Cristo (Richard Chamberlain version although the new one with Guy Pierce is pretty good too) Taxi Driver (you talkin' t'me?)
+1 for Shawshank Redemption!
+1 for Devil's Advocate
Gotta honor "The Good Thief". Best heist movie ever. Great international cast and. Nick Nolte's performance is inspired. Based on the old french film "Bob the Burglar"

I'm still butt hurt about the new trilogy's use of CG animation. I understand bigger better fast more, being cutting edge, and all that jazz. had they just said F- it and used the old school techniques, Ships on strings, migets in trash cans, and cardboard space ships like they used in the originals to do the new movies they would have been 100,000,000,000,000,000 times more mind blowing.
Yeah, that movie has stood the test of time. I think Raiders of the Lost Ark is still pretty cool too. Mindless, but fun.
Godfather. 'Nuff said.
Apocalypse Now. Way more entertaining than Heart of Darkness.
