I can certainly understand anyone's hesitance to like these guys, but they did it without signing a contract with a major label and used local Seattle musicians. They really changed a lot of peoples lives.
They're on SNL tonight.
Probably their most famous:

Probably their most poignant:

These guys are very good people, and I support them.

These guys did that album without a major record contract. It's currently #1. They used a lot of local people. One guy was a 51 year old software tester, it has changed his life: Michael Wansley.
I love them because it proves you don't need to sell your soul to a record company to be successful. And I love them because they have taken care of their own.

I'm a fan of these guys and love their album, The Heist. The lyrics go from very thought provoking to making you laugh out loud at how clever he is. Musically, the tracks are amazing. It's very rare to have any musicality in a hip hop track now a days. Both of these guys are the real deal and I'm happy to see them have success under their own terms.
