Dumb tip of the day for idiots

Post by Reeltarded »

Tip: If holding a bare wire in your fingers and touching it anywhere with an iron.. first and always put a couple 90° bends in the wire so it will lose at least 180° before the heat gets to your fingers.

Never done that, but if I did...
At times like that I really wish someone would invent pointy nose pliers.
And heat that only travels in one direction.
On a brighter note, you can create some neat maps on your finger tips.
Don't try this at home children - it's only for the professionals.

Talk about heat. Just got out of the 7th circle of hell which, in tonight's case, was with my woman. Huh, go figure! Glad I got out of there tonight. :D

You could just leave the amp on while you are soldering and the current will carry the heat away.
I just use my fingers for heatsinks it takes a lot to burn em .You have to suffer for your art.The ones on my right hand barley work so that oughta teach em

Also, don't pickup the buss wire and try soldering with it, doesn't work too well, don't ask how I know. :)

Yeah, tinning a bus wire while holding it does not work either.

These are all good questions that I have no answers for but right now I have more serious things to deal with.

Anyone know how to get blood out of a clown suit? It's a rental.

I'm confused. How do you get the bends to exactly 90°. No matter how low I set my soldering station, it just won't cool down that much. What am I doing wrong?

I lay my wire out in the bright sunlight before soldering.

You're lucky.

Up here, code says all our wiring must be buried below the frost line. Frost line is four feet down.

Why would I put the wire where I stashed the billion dollars I found?

Oh crap.. I mean IF I HAD stashed a billion dollars that I found.. if I found it, which I shouldn't say intil I can get to a bank on Monday. Oh crap.. Tuesday.
