What does this have to do with Dumble amps? If you are going to show up ocaasionally just to stir the political pot, at least post it in the Garage Talk section where this belongs.

I first became aware of the raid from this post... http://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... light=raidToneMerc wrote:What does this have to do with Dumble amps? I notice you commented on that post, but failed to give guidance as to the proper location or nature of the Topic. At any rate, I thank you for the reply. Feel free to have this moved where ever you deem appropriate.

Yup that was posted in Dumble section so we might as well continue here.
It makes sense is right, something better be done about this big government involvement. Thankfully the government agency I worked in for 33 years is held accountable for their actions unlike these politically appointed ass wipes of Obama's administration. What a bunch of criminals.

That topic was originally posted in the Garage Talk section and it is outside of amp building, but who needs rules right?M Fowler wrote:Yup that was posted in Dumble section so we might as well continue here.
Carry on, I'll grab the flag on my way out.

Sometimes it seems like this administration is writing its own bill of impeachment...

The whole government got way too big. They claim to be completely unaware.
Really? Either way, huge, tremendous, massive... crapmongous.
This is how big got too big to fail. Unaccountable down to the mail room. We all notice just like any new guy on the job would after a week. We re all marginalized. Grease for a machine. It's so broken.

Re: Now The Gibson Guitar Raids Make Sense
The oppressive militaristic actions of the government against Gibson will never make sense to me.
The accused non-violent "crimes" (never proven, settled out of court) clearly did not warrant such heavy handed Storm Troop tactics.
Makes one wonder how the Billion Dollar thieves on Wall St don't draw any armed 'show-of-force' response.

Government agencies being used for political retribution is always wrong.
Always.
But in the interest of fairness, the current administration did not invent this.
This is a practice from time immemorial.
The Bush administration, with Karl Rove, were world class at this job, gutting federal agencies and filling them with political appointees, and then using the agencies to turn a blind eye, hence enriching their pals, to the detriment of the public at large. For example, FDA, SEC, FEMA.
Dems are just getting back.
It's called politics.
Again, my position is that government agencies being used for political retribution is always wrong.
Always.
So don't shoot.
Always.

I get tired of this big gov't crap. If we get a republican prez, I'm sure the big gov talk will go away. both sides suck as far as I'm concerned including the tea party who doesn't have a friggin clue as to what they are talking about. Yawl need to stop listening to talk radio hate and the 24 hr tv news cycle and get a life.
Re: Now The Gibson Guitar Raids Make Sense
Probably not.....just different people bitching. If we get a republican prez, I'm sure the big gov talk will go away.
Indeed!both sides suck as far as I'm concerned including the tea party who doesn't have a friggin clue as to what they are talking about.
Even though....I don't believe for a minute that the Gibson raids were politically motivated just because Henry donated to the GOP.
