I don't want a pickle

Post by George61 »

I just want to ride on my motor-sickle.

Just got back from picking up my new motorcycle. Just thought I see if there any other motorcycle enthusiasts here on TAG.

Ride on,
George

Nice one George.
Triumph were responsible for teaching me how to fix engines. They are a lot more reliable now.
And that one's a beauty.

Picked up a 1970 BSA 650 chopper a month ago, my son got on a trade deal.

It runs but needs tender loving care and updating, polish the springer front end and different controls.

Nice!
I ride an FLHT most days.
I break out the 58 BSA A10 occasionally.
I have a TT500 Yamaha for busting up the tumbleweeds.
Any day you ride is a good day.

BMW R1150RS for me. I bought my first BMW (R90S) in 1978.

Have you seen the new R Nine T? It is what I really wanted but was more than twice the price. $6999 vs. $14,900. My car only cost $14,900 - Honda Fit.

Ride on,

No, I wasn't aware of that bike - despite what they say, I see no resemblance to the elegant lines of the silver smoke R90S and the clean simplicity of Del Orto pumper carbs.

Just wait a few years and buy a used R 9 T. The prices plummet to about 50% after about 5-8 years. Given that most BMW motorcycles are good for a couple hundred thousand miles, unless the bike has been trashed, it will be a great value.

Wow! I might finally have a way to pay ya back for all the great knowledge and advise, Mark! I've got quite a few BSA/Triumph years under me belt. Just holler if you or your son need any help or parts.

I'm hoping to find one of these under the Christmas tree this year:

[img:1024:768]http://i514.photobucket.com/albums/t346 ... ber-12.jpg[/img]

Her name is Grom, and she's the hottest little cutie on the block at your local campground, in the pits at all kinds of races, and she's even been spotted downtown hanging out with the hipsters 8)

Sweet I'll have to remember this thread when I start parts hunting. :) Thanks.

Here are my 2 bikes, example photos from the web as I don't have any good photos. Both are being stored until I move next month.

That's a nice bike, George. I always wanted a Triumph. I'd like to trade my Suzuki for one but that doesn't look too likely.
