Peter Tosh's Bush Doctor is one of my favorite reggae albums; saw him live back in the '80's. Jimmy Cliff for sure too- The Harder They Come is a great film, super soundtrack with a number of early ska and rocksteady reggae artists, including Toots and the Maytals, the Slickers, and Desmond Dekker (best known for "Israelites" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83Y2hv-3UCM ).

While I am basically a rock guy and love guitars, I really enjoy Com Truise. It's electronic music (I guess) but with a lot of thought gone into it. Listening to stuff like this ends up having an influence on me when playing guitar and that's what it's all about.

Also got Ryan Adams 1984 on heavy rotation

Dag Nasty is an influence on Ryan Adams w/this record. They made a few exceptional hardcore punk and early 'post punk' records.

Then, a couple of weeks ago my downstairs neighbor stumbled out into the driveway one morning while I was out there w/the dog and he says, "man, I've got a serious Stairway to Heaven hangover. Heard it on the radio on my way home last night then proceeded to watch tons of versions on you tube all night til really late." So of course that started ME off on a huge Zeppelin kick. I heard him blasting 'Immigrant Song' today while he was backing his car out of the driveway so apparently he's still going too, ha ha.

"A million miles away" from Rory Gallagher's '74 Irish Tour.

Damn I miss Rory, there is no soul in music today.
