It's good to see how many are as twisted as I am.

OK, I’m going to step in here with a little expertise (I don’t have a lot to spare). I am trained in anatomy and have had an interest in things geological. I think I am QUALIFIED to help set some guidelines for definitive differentiation of the ass/hole-in-the-ground question.
Let’s start with ass:
1. Has a brown-colored uneven surrounding
2. Puckers under stress
3. Daily outflow
4. Can put out hot, foul-smelling gasses
5. Connected to deeper conduits
6. Hidden between large masses of flesh (bigger in some than others)
7. Needs to be cleaned
Now, let’s randomly pick a ... fumarole (volcanic vent on the ocean floor) as an example of a hole-in-the-ground:
1. Has a brown-colored uneven surrounding
2. Puckers under (tectonic) stress
3. Daily outflow
4. Can put out hot, foul-smelling gasses
5. Connected to deeper conduits
6. Hidden between large masses of earth
7. Doesn’t need to be cleaned
Eureka :o
If you need to be cleaned, you’re an ass. If you don’t, you’re just a hole in the ground. The distinction wasn’t that easy, was it :?: I’ll bet you thought until point #7, we wouldn’t be able to tell the difference, right :?: Amazing how a little expertise can be helpful in life :D
Lefty, you have my permission to pass this along to your ex-boss :D

This is a GREAT FORUM! One of its best assets, besides the huge amount of info available to ANYONE, is Omar himself.
He's repeatedly said that this is HIS forum, and has had to draw the line for some of us. But I want to say a great thank you to him for having done so.
This is so much better than getting a warning for posting your mind! Miles better! This is so much better than having the 'owners' hiding behind hypocrisy and sanctimoniousness! Millions of miles better!
Lefty, thank you for warning the community that we have a-holes trying to decide who stays. You've done us a service, really.

Out of 2836 members, only 938 of them have even posted once! Maybe a pruning is in order. Any members older than 30 days and 0 posts should be removed. They can always sign back up once they are ready to contribute.

Just an idea......
Doesn't sound like a bad idea. So here's my first post. Shameless!

Okay guys, I'm pretty sure we're all in this together. No need to post on this thread any longer, because Omar has made it clear we're all welcome here.

Repeat after me:

"We are all welcome here, and we all individuals"

Now stop posting on this thread, or I will start reciting Vogon poetry.

But remember to bring your towel.
