Amp seminar

Post by xtian »

Had a great time delivering a tube amp seminar at Butte College Recording Arts facility. Had about 20 attendees--students and members of the public. I took five of my amps and opened them up for inspection, then we played and recorded each. I'm going to need leather patches on the elbows of my sports jacket...or maybe a pipe...

Good job Xtian!
These seminars should help spread the gospel of thermionic goodness. Hopefully insuring a flow of fresh talent into amplifier design. With luck you can conduct these regularly to educate the masses.

That is so cool!

I wonder how many colleges have anything even remotely like that?

It probably felt like a magical, exotic subject to your students :-)
