Yep I did exactly that but it only wants to see Custom IRs as .wav files. This is Windows so maybe different from IOS. My completely up to date Tonex setup will not allow Tone Models as IRs sadly. Really liked the idea of the preamp / power amp into my live setup.

I just updated the app. Let me try to get a few minutes tomorrow err.. today to see what I have done differently.
If it is another issue I can make suitable versions of whatever and email them to you.
We will figure it out. I am using Nuno Bettencourt ADA into a couple other pwr sections as well. Sounds like 1990 in here.
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

That's really helpful thanks. I'd really like to try the separated pre - power amp idea.
Maybe one day I'll capture my #183 preamp- sounds good. Though I don't have the gear for captures.

Sorry to keep you hanging, I am migrating some things and waiting for a new laptop. I updated the software thinking it was the new editor and got punked by it.. and wouldn't you know that my first test failed to do the idea that I described here but I think I know why, I just can't do anything about it immediately.

I am certain there is no way for a Tone Model to be recognised as a .wav IR. If you managed to do that I'd be surprised.
I even tried changing the Tone Model filename to .wav but it didn't work.
I've downloaded quite a few preamps to try with my Mesa power amp and also my Class D one.
