Like for the day you can no longer access this forum. Maybe you just bought $500 worth of stuff from me, but now I don't know where to send the stuff. That could be an emergency.

There's a little more info here: https://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 33#p479733

In short, it seems the only thing we can do is keep our fingers crossed.

Certainly a good idea to join. Does anyone regularly make a copy of the website? There is free software out there that will download a copy of a website for private viewing. I suppose the issue is where to store the file, which can be quite large.

Yes, Phil D is on top of that, so we don't have to worry about losing all the content here. We just have to worry about losing our community connections.

Do the admins have access to our usernames and emails?
Maybe they can compile a list.

They could sort by last time logged on to try and keep connections up.

Won't do FB.

I had an unexplained account termination from them years ago. No reason ever given, had no arguments online or any contentious content. Just suddenly, I was perma-banned for no reason, and no appeal was even possible.

So I wrote them off.

as stated I've been backing up the whole site to a home server to just keep as much of the content available as possible. That backup does include all user email addresses. I won't go that route unless absolutely mandatory, because I figure I don't want to 'spam' people that didn't ask for it. Basically I'd try to figure out what people think we do if things get that far gone.
